Breathing in Confinement: Sunday, December 22, Arash Ganji, a translator and secretary of the Iranian Writers’ Association, being arrested by security forces in Tehran was taken to an unknown location. The officers searched his home during the arrest and confiscated some of his personal belongings.
According to the Iranian Writers ‘Association, on Sunday, December 22, 2019, Arash Ganji, a member of the Association, was arrested by security forces and was taken to an unknown location.
According to the report, on December 23, in the morning, a bunch of officers identifying themselves as “security police” went to Mr. Ganji’s home and arrested him while searching his home and confiscating some of his personal belongings.
It needs to be said that, there has been no information so far on the reasons for his detention as well as his whereabouts.
