Breathing in Confinement – The trial of Saeid Shirzad was postponed.
According to the reporters of “Breathing in Confinement”, the trial of this political prisoner who is held at Rajaee Shahr Prison in Karaj, was supposed to be held on 15th July, but it was postponed without giving a specific reason by the authorities.
He is held in detention since 21st June 2014, and is still deprived of meeting with his lawyer and because of that, he earlier had refused to attend the trial.
Saeid Shirzad, first time was arrested in 21st August 2012, when he had gone to Ahar, in East Azerbaijan to aid the people after the earthquake, and was released on the bail after spending 19 days in detention.
He had been sentenced to 1 year suspended imprisonment by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court.
