Breathing in Confinement: The civil activist Javad Lael Mohammadi, was released from the custody of a security agency in Mashhad. He was arrested by security forces in Mashhad on August 1, during a protest rally in support of the people of Khuzestan and against the country’s critical condition.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the civil activist Javad Lael Mohammadi, was released after spending 10 days in detention.
In a video after his release, he said about being beaten and tortured by security agents at the detention center.
On Sunday, August 1, a number of citizens, including the civil activists, Javad Lael Mohammadi and Fatemeh Sepehri, were detained by security forces in a protest rally held in Mashhad in support of the people of Khuzestan and against the country’s critical conditions.
Javad Lael Mohammadi, one of the signatories of Khamenei’s resignation request, has a history of previous arrest and conviction.
