Three prisoners in “Sistan and Baluchestan”, and “Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari” saved from execution

Breathing in Confinement –  Three prisoners sentenced to death in separate cases in the counties of Koohrang, Farsan, and Dalgan, being pardoned by the victims’ families, survived from the execution.

“On Saturday, December 7, 2019, a prisoner sentenced to death in the County of Dalgan in Sistan and Baluchestan province, was saved from execution with the consent of the victim’s relatives,” Fars News reported.

According to the report, in a two-year dispute between the two tribes, one person was murdered and another was injured. Eventually, however, family members of the victim Ali Bameri compromised and waived their legal right of retaliation.

In another report by Mizan News Agency, on Sunday, December 8, 2019, Ahmad Reza Bahrami, the chief justice of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, announced the release of two prisoners sentenced to death, in the counties of Koohrang and Farsan after being pardoned by the victims’ relatives.

“In the counties of Koohrang and Farsan, two prisoners who in separate cases were sentenced to death by the Criminal Court of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province were rescued from execution with the plaintiffs’ consent,” Bahrami said.
