Breathing in Confinement – 6 Sunni Prisoners were executed in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, Hamed Ahmadi, Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molaei, Hadi Hosseini and Sadigh Mohammadi who were taken on 3rd March, from Hall 10 of ward 4 in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj to quarantine of this prison, were executed at 4 am on, 4th March 2015.
Prison officials have told their families that their bodies have been transferred to Bibi Sakina cemetery.
Amnesty International, in a statement had urged the Iranian authorities to stop the sentences.
Also, some of the families of these prisoners and human rights activists gathered last night in front of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj and urged the authorities to stop executing these 6 prisoners.
It is to say, Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molaei, Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani, were taken to solitary confinement in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj once before on 13th June for execution but after widespread international protests and a 39-day hunger strike they were returned to Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
