Breathing in Confinement: Pedram Abhar, a Baha’i citizen, was temporarily released on bail on December 25, 2021, awaiting the trial. Mr. Abhar who lives in Tehran was arrested on November 21, 2021, on his way home from Shiraz and returned to his parents’ place of residence in Shiraz.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Saturday, December 25, 2021, Pedram Abhar, a Baha’i citizen, was released from a high security detention center in Evin Prison.
Pedram Abhar was arrested by security forces in Shiraz on November 21, 2021 and transferred to an unknown location. During his arrest, security forces searched his parents’ home in Shiraz and confiscated some of the family’s personal belongings, including photo frames, books related to the Baha’i faith, passports, national identity cards, home ownership documents, as well as his cell phone and that of his family members. On November 23, 2021, he was transferred to Tehran in order to his home in Tehran be searched by security agents.
