Breathing in Confinement – ” Three families in East Azerbaijan pardoned murderers of their children” said director-general of the State Prisons Organization.
According to Rokna, in the presence of the director-general of the State Prisons Organization and Security and Corrective Measures, withdrawing their claims against the murderers, three Azerbaijani families granted them a second life.
According to the report, these families were from the Bonab and Maragheh counties. In addition, one of these families requested the killer to memorize the entire holy Quran as a precondition for the retaliation (Qisas) to be pardoned.
On the sideline of this event, Hassan Mohammadiari- director of the prisons in East Azerbaijan province, said that: “There are currently 1800 prisoners who have memorized the Holy Quran from 1-30 Juz (part), as well as 800 inmates who are memorizing the Nahj al-Balagha”.
