Breathing in Confinement: The bail sentences of 50 million Tomans for Haft Tappeh sugar Cane laborers have been appealed against their will.

According to the Telegram channel of Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Laborers Union, quoting Farzaneh Zeilabi, the detained laborers’ lawyer, their sentences were 50 million Tomans for each one of the detained workers. And contrary to the laborers’ decision who said that they had no objection, their sentences have been appealed.

As per the report, the fake and unauthorized appeals, have been registered with the aim of keeping the workers in detention for a longer period.

The report adds that there is no legal reason for taking these laborers in custody.

Anyway, the verdicts had been upheld on Monday November 2, in Branch 101 of Shoush Criminal Court 2.  As per the order of the provincial prosecutor however, neither the workers nor their lawyer were notified.
