Breathing in Confinement, Sunday, 30 August 2026: Razieh (Roya) Hashemi, a licensed lawyer and Kurdish resident of Abdanan in Ilam Province, was arrested by security forces on Thursday, 27 August, and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, following her arrest, Razieh (Roya) Hashemi was taken to an undisclosed location without her family being informed. No information has yet emerged regarding her fate, condition, or whereabouts.

According to published information, security forces approached Hashemi at the location where she was present on Thursday, 27 August, arrested her without presenting a warrant or any judicial documentation, and took her to an undisclosed location.
