The retired teacher Nosrat Beheshti receives a sentence of five years in prison

Breathing in Confinement: Nosrat Beheshti, a retired teacher and political activist, was sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Nosrat Beheshti, a retired teacher and political activist living in Mashhad, was sentenced to prison by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad.

According to the verdict issued by Branch 4 of the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad, presided over by Judge Mansouri, Ms. Beheshti was sentenced to five years in prison on charge of “propaganda against the regime” as well as “acting against national security.”

Nosrat Beheshti was arrested by security forces at his home in Mashhad on August 4, 2021.
