Breathing in Confinement: On Thursday, August 18, 2022, three Baloch Prisoners sentenced to death for drug-related and murder charges were transferred to solitary confinement in Nasrabad Prison.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, three prisoners sentenced to death for drug related and murder charges were sent to solitary confinement for execution.
The prisoners have been identified as Mehdi Piri, accused of drug offences, and Amin Piri and Qasim Sancholi Neizar, accused of murder.
According to an informed source: “Mehdi Piri was arrested in Zabul in 2019 on charges of transport and possession of drugs and was later sentenced to death by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court presided by Qazi Babaei. Amin Piri was also arrested in Zabul in 2018 on charges of murder and sentenced to death, Qasim Sancholi was arrested in Zabul in 2017 on charges of murder and sentenced to death.”
