Breathing in Confinement – In the morning of Sunday 28th December, 6 prisoners with charges of drug trafficking were hanged in Central Prison of Uremia.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, those 6 prisoners were all transferred to solitary confinements one night before and then were executed in Central Prison of Uremia in the early morning of 28th December.

Those prisoners were taken to the gallows from wards 14 and 15 of the Central Prison of Uremia.

They were all charged with drug trafficking and their names are as follows: Firooz Hatami, Ahmad Bavojani, Amrullah Shokrullahi, Sajad Babaei, Hasan Vatanparast and Akbar Darandeh.

That is to say, the Iranian official Media have not reported these executions so far.

This is while, just recently, on 23rd December, Amoli Larijani, the head of Iran’s judiciary, announced secret executions in Iran as “lies” and claimed that: “Our recommendation is that; they give us the details such as the names, date and place of the alleged executions, then they will get the appropriate answers and then their false claims will be approved.”
