Breathing in Confinement: at dawn on Sunday, December 1, at least four prisoners who had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder” and drug-related offenses were executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least four inmates were executed early on Sunday, December 1, 2024, for charges of “murder” and drug-related offenses at Ghezel Hesar Prison. The identities of two prisoners, Amir Moradi and Amir Minaei Amrollah, have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement. The execution of Amir Moradi had been previously reported by Breathing in Confinement.
Based on information received by Breathing in Confinement, Amir Minaei Amrollah, the son of Hossein, a married resident of Tohid Town in Eslamshahr, was previously arrested and sentenced to death for drug-related charges. The identities of the other two prisoners are still under investigation.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
