According to IRNA, on Thursday, December 12, 2019, in Karaj, the victim’s family members’ consent rescued a prisoner sentenced to death after 8 years of imprisonment.
“In 2011, a prisoner killed his friend ‘because of some particular reasons’. And he was accordingly sentenced to retaliation. Since then, feeling guilty, he repeatedly committed self-injuries and suicide, ” said Iraj Fattahi, director of Karaj Penitentiary.
“Social workers at the prison explained the situation to the head of the branch 6 of the criminal sentence execution center. He afterward helped to begin the process of obtaining the consent of the victim’s father and eventually with the magnanimity of the victim’s father the prisoner was saved from the gallows. ”.
