Two prisoners in Semnan and Zanjan saved from execution

Breathing in Confinement: Being pardoned by the victim’s family, two prisoners who had been detained on murder charges in Semnan and Zanjan prisons were saved from execution.
According to Rokna news agency, quoting Omid Kahrobai, Director General of Prisons in Semnan Province, a 32-year-old prisoner named MM, who on murder charges had been on death row since 2017, returned to life with the consent of the victim’s family.
In addition, according to the ISNA news agency, quoting Ismail Sadeghi Niaraki, Chief Justice of Zanjan Province, a person named M-Kh, on death row since 2017 for murder, returned to life with the consent of the victim’s family.
