Breathing in Confinement: On Tuesday, January 17, Amir Sattari, living in Tabriz and a former political prisoner, was arrested and transferred to Tabriz prison to serve his 91-day prison sentence.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Tuesday, January 17, Amir Sattari, a former political prisoner, was arrested and transferred to Tabriz prison to serve his sentence.
In November 2021, Branch 111 of Tabriz Criminal Court 2 sentenced Mr. Sattari to 91 days in prison as well as a fine.
According to the verdict, 50 days of his prison sentence has been suspended for 2 years.
The sentence was upheld in December 2021 in the Court of Appeal.
Amir Sattari Raouf was arrested by Intelligence agents on July 22, 2021, and transferred to Tabriz prison. He was finally released from Tabriz prison in August of the same year.
