Breathing in Confinement, Saturday, February 15, 2025 – The number of detainees from the recent protests in Dehdasht has increased, and so far, the identities of 12 individuals have been confirmed.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least 20 citizens were arrested by security forces during the recent protests in Dehdasht, which lasted from February 9 to 13. So far, the identities of 12 of these individuals have been confirmed, including Amirhossein Jafari (17 years old), Kamran Bozari (16 years old), Atefeh Tahernia (previously arrested in the 2022 protests), Jaber Foroughi, and Pouria Barati, who were arrested on February 11. Additionally, Hossein Parisayi was arrested on February 13, while Alireza Parisayi, Hamid Parisayi, Ahmad Nourmohammadi, Shahriar Heshmat-Nasab, Reza Yeganeh, and Shahram Nouranian were detained on Tuesday, February 11.

According to available information, Amirhossein Jafari and Kamran Bozari have been transferred to the Dehdasht Juvenile Correctional Center, Jaber Foroughi and Pouria Barati to Dehdasht Prison, and Atefeh Tahernia to Yasuj Prison.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Nourmohammadi, known as “Ahmad Lolo,” has been accused of leading the Dehdasht protesters. Security agencies have referred to him as a citizen of Afghanistan.

Government-affiliated media have also labeled the charges against the other detainees as “disrupting public order and security.”

No further information is available regarding the charges against the detainees or the whereabouts of the remaining individuals in custody.
