Mohammad Ghaderi, a citizen from Piranshahr, is threatened to death while under the torture

Breathing in Confinement, May 29, 2020: Mohammad Ghaderi, a citizen from Piranshahr, being detained by the security forces since May 4, is subjected to severe torture to the point of going unconscious.

The Kurdistan Center for Democracy and Human Rights announced in a report on the condition of this prisoner that on Tuesday, May 27, 2020, Mohammad Ghaderi’s parents, met him while unconscious in a security detention center in Urmia.

According to an informed source, “Mohammad Ghaderi went unconscious under severe physical torture in one of the security detention centers in Urmia. The security forces however, told his parents that he had committed a suicide.” They were also told that, two weeks back, drinking hand wash liquid, he had committed another suicide, after which, he was taken to a medical center twice.

“Despite his complete unconsciousness with sings of torture on his body, he is still being kept in one of the security detention facilities and is being denied to be transferred to a hospital for medical treatment,” the source added.

 

It should be noted that Mohammad Ghaderi was arrested on Monday, May 4, 2020, simultaneously with seven others in different parts of Piranshahr, named Ahad Mahmoud Hassan, Abu Bakr Mahmoud Hassan, Vahed Ghaderi, Hesamuddin Pirani, Amir Ghaderi, Salam Bapirvand and Ali Ghaderi. To go under interrogation, they were transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia. And as of this writing, no details have been released about the charges against them.
