Breathing in Confinement- Rashid Nasserzadeh, a citizen of the County of Oshnouyeh, was arrested by security forces on Tuesday, December 3, and was taken to an unknown location.

According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, Rashid Nasserzadeh, an environmental activist, a journalist, and a member of Pishro Mountaineering Group was arrested on December 3, 2019, and was taken to an unknown location.

He was arrested on his return from Iraq, on Piranshahr – Oshnouyeh Road.

Mr. Nasserzadeh had also been arrested earlier on September 12, 2018, along with several other activists on the charge of taking part in a marketers’ massive strike in protest against the execution of Zaniar Moradi, Loghman Moradi, and Ramin Hossein Panahi.  The strike took place in the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah and West Azerbaijan. A few hours later, however, Rashid Nasserzadeh was released on bail.
