Breathing in a Confinement: Sepideh Rashnou, a student, has been sentenced to six months of imprisonment and payment of 10 million Toman fine. She has also been sentenced to other supplementary penalties.

According to ‘Breathing in a Confinement,’ the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran , Sepideh Rashnou has been sentenced to imprisonment and payment of a cash fine.

Ms. Rashnou said that she has been sentenced to six months of imprisonment, a fine of ten million Toman in cash, a one-year ban on using Instagram, and the permanent deletion of her current Instagram page.

This student activist has commented on the legal process of her case, stating that the issuance of a new six-month disciplinary imprisonment sentence will also remove the suspension of her previous sentence of three years and seven months of imprisonment.

The court hearing on charges against Sepideh Rashnou, related to allegations of spreading anti-government propaganda and encouraging people to fornication and depravity, took place on October 2 in her absence in the Judicial Complex of Evin in Tehran.

Ms. Rashnou had previously been notified of her charges by Branch 1 of the Prosecutor’s Office in Evin Court.

On May 28, Sepideh Reshnou was summoned to the 1st branch of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office .
