Breathing in Confinement: On January 28, 2024, the guards of Ghazalhasar prison, along with plain-clothed agents, stormed the hall of political prisoners in unit 4 of this prison, beating the political prisoners detained in this hall.
According to “Breathing in Confinement,” the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a number of prisoners were injured, and their belongings were destroyed in the attack by Ghezalhasar prison guards and plain-clothed agents on the hall of political prisoners.
Chanting protest slogans, the political prisoners expressed their objection to this barbaric attack.
According to reports, the security guards of Ghazalhisar prison, as well as the plain-clothed agents, are still present in the hall of political prisoners in Unit 4. There is no information about the number of injured individuals and the condition of political prisoners in Ghazalhisar prison.
