At Least 15 Prisoners Hanged During 5 Days

Breathing in Confinement – With the resumption of executions in the Iranian New Year, at least 15 prisoners were hanged within 5 days, in three different prisons in Iran.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, human rights sources have reported 9 executions in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.

Human Rights in Iran has announced the names of six of the prisoners as; Mustafa Ejlali, Ebad Mohammadi, Javad Sadeghi from ward 1, Mehdi Haghshenas from ward 6, Mohammad Javad Mozaffari from ward 2 and Mohammad Zare from ward 3.

HRANA News Agency also has announced the name of the seventh one as Hossein Moeinfar.

There is no report yet, regarding the other 2 prisoners’ names.

All these prisoners were hanged on charge of murder.

Also, according to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, the death sentence of a prisoner, named Ghader Mazaheri, was executed in Tabriz Central prison, on Monday, 11th April.

It is said that the prisoner was convicted on charges of rape.

Earlier also, 5 prisoners were executed in prison of Lakan, in Rasht, on 9th April, so that the number of people who were hanged in Iran, during the past 5 days has reached 15 so far.
