Ali Faezpour Sentenced To 8 Months Imprisonment

Breathing in Confinement – Ali Faezpour, labor activist, was sentenced to 8 months imprisonment by Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court in Tabriz.

According to the reporters of “Breathing in Confinement”, this labor activist, who had been arrested after the funeral ceremony of Shahrokh Zamani, at his home in Tabriz, was charged with “propaganda against the regime” and sentenced to 8 months imprisonment by Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court.

This labor activist was transferred to Tabriz Intelligence office, after his arrest. Temporary detention order for Ali Faezpour was issued by Mohammadzadeh Almaloo, prosecutor of Branch 20 of the Revolutionary and General Court, for one month on 10th October, then after this time he was released on a bail of 20 million tomans, from Tabriz Central Prison.

It is noteworthy that, following the death of Shahrokh Zamani and holding his funeral in the city of Tabriz, many labor and student activists were arrested or summoned and threatened by the intelligence ministry.
