According to reporters from Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in Hamedan Prison in the early hours of Tuesday, 28 July. The prisoner’s identity has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Ali Rasouli.

According to the report, Ali Rasouli, from Hamedan, had previously been arrested on a murder charge and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. His sentence was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, 28 July 2026, in Hamedan Prison.
