10 Prisoners Hanged in Uromieh and Esfahan

Breathing in Confinement – 9 prisoners were hanged on Wednesday in the prison of Uromieh as well as 1 other prisoner in Esfahan.
According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, on Wednesday, 21st January, 9 prisoners were hanged in Central Prison of Uromieh as well as 1 other prisoner in Esfahan.
Mr. Mohammad Reza Gholizadeh from ward 15, Tariverdi Tariverdizadeh from ward 4, Fardin Maleki from ward 15, Saber Maleki from ward 15, Arshad Farhadi from ward 15, Hassan Pasdar from ward 14, and Noreddin Saeidi from ward 15 are the prisoners who were executed in the first minutes of the morning of Wednesday 21st January on charges of drug trafficking in the Central Prison of Uromieh.
Among them, Fardin Maleki and Saber Maleki were brothers.
Also, Mr. Siamak Ojaghi from ward 4 and Majid Hajizadeh from ward 16 of Uromieh Prison were charged with murder and on the same day at 6am went to the gallows.
According to reports from Esfahan, Mr. Soleyman Ahmdnezhad, was hanged in the morning of 21st January at the central prison of Esfahan on charged of drug dealing.
The number of death sentences carried out in Iran since the beginning of the New Year, 2015, has been 56 cases, including 8 executions in public.
