Breathing in Confinement: A prisoner from Sarvabad who had been sentenced to death for murder was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.

According to Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Wednesday, December 30, 2020, a 28-year-old prisoner named “Mustafa Seifi” from the village of Viznan in the City of Sarvabad, was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.

The report quotes Ata Seifi, Mustafa’s father, as saying: To pardon Mustafa, the victim’s family had asked for three billion tomans which Seifi’s family could not afford.

In early September of this year, Mustafa had been transferred to solitary confinement to serve his death sentence. His execution, however, was postponed as the victim’s relatives agreed to give three months respite to Seifi family for preparing the money.

On April 25, 2015, over the honor issues, Mustafa Seifi had killed one of his relatives, named “Kosar Seifi,” for which he had been sentenced to death.
