Arrest of Zohreh Sayadi, a child rights activist

Breathing in Confinement -Zohreh Sayadi, a children’s rights activist (whose activity is focused on the problem of children without identification document) was arrested by the security forces.
According to ILNA News Agency, Ms. Sayyadi has detained last week and her family members awaiting her charges and date of trial to be announced.
“Last Tuesday around noon, security forces came to our house and after a home inspection took Zohreh away,” said Zahra Sayyadi, Zohreh’s sister. She continued, “They said by the evening she will be at home. Twenty-four hours later, however, Zohreh called and said ‘I am at Evin prison’”. She added that the detainers gave “no explanation” for Zohreh Sayyad’s arrest and that despite the family’s daily visits to the judicial authorities, the explanation is still pending.
Zohreh Sayadi -an activist in the field of social harms as well as the problems of children without identification documents, has been active in defending Baluchi and Sistani children without ID for many years.
Aftab website has also referred to her as ” A teacher of child worker’s”.
