Breathing in Confinement: Family members of Nikta Esfandani, who was killed in recent protests in Iran, expressed their hope on her Instagram page that their daughter’s innocent blood would not be left unpunished. Nikta Esfandani, a 14-year-old girl, was shot dead during the protests in Sattarkhan area in Tehran.

In memory of their daughter, Esfandani family wrote the post as Nikta’s last post on her Instagram page and stopped operating the account, Radio Farda reported. This account had more than two thousand followers.

This was written while Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Ismaili claimed on Tuesday that Ms. Nikita Esfandani had not been killed but had died because of poisoning. However, Esfandani family’s last post is in absolute contradiction with what the judiciary spokesman said.
