ُSecurity agents in Tehran arrested Fariba Kamalabadi and Mahvash Shahriari

Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, July 31, Fariba Kamalabadi and Mahvash Shahriari, members of the Leaders Board of Baha’i Community in Iran, were arrested by security forces at their home in Tehran and taken to an unknown location.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Sunday, July 31, 2022, Fariba Kamalabadi and Mahvash Shahriari, Baha’i citizens and former members of the Leaders Board of Baha’i Community in Iran, were arrested by security forces in Tehran.
On the same day, Breathing in Confinement reported the arrest of Afif Naimi, another leader of the Baha’i Community, as well as a Baha’i citizen named Saman Ostvar, . Breathing in Confinement also, reported that the homes and workplaces of Afif Naimi and Saman Ostvar, and four other Baha’i citizens named Nasir Heravi, Kamiyar Habibi, Mozaffar Nabili and Sara Shaaban, were searched by security agents and some of their personal belongings, including mobile phones, electronic devices, as well as their Baha’i religion books were confiscated.
It should be noted that Fariba Kamalabadi and Mahvash Shahriari along with other members of the Leaders Board of the Baha’i Community had previously also been imprisoned for ten years.
