Breathing in a Confinement: Baktash Abtin, a member of the Iranian Writers Association, who is serving his six-year sentence in Evin, has Caught Covid-19 disease and is currently admitted to Evin Prison’s Infirmary with a positive Covid test.
According to Breathing in a Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners Rights League in Iran, Baktash Abtin, a member of the Iranian Writers Association, imprisoned in Evin Prison, has contracted Covid-19 disease and is currently being treated at Evin Prison Infirmary. Mr. Abtin has been serving his six-year sentence in Evin Prison since October last year. According to the families of political prisoners, the outbreak of the British variant of Coronavirus has been evident in Penitentiary 8 of Evin Prison, but nevertheless, the prison authorities have not taken any measures to protect the lives of the prisoners.
