According to Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Sunday, December 27, 2020, a 42-year-old woman named “Zeinab Khodamradi” from the city of Qorveh was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.
At the end of October this year, to serve her death sentence, she had been transferred to solitary confinement, but her husband’s family agreed to postpone the execution, in order to give her a respite to provide them with the blood money of 700 million tomans.
Zeinab Khodamradi was arrested on Monday, August 31, 2015, on a charge of murdering her 12-day-old son, “Mohammad Javad,” and her 7-year-old stepdaughter, named “Hadith,” and was later sentenced to death.
As per the report, Zeinab Khodamradi had been neglected by her husband during her pregnancy as well as the days in the hospital after delivery. Her husband had prohibited all of her relatives from visiting Zeinab, which reportedly caused her to become very depressed and mentally unwell while committed the crime.
