Hunger Strike at Uremia Prison goes on after 15 days

Breathing in Confinement – This is more than fifteen days that Prisoners of Uremia prison are on hunger strike.
According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”; prisoners of ward 12 at the Central Prison of Uremia continue their hunger strike while all of them are suffering from low blood pressure and general weakness during the last few days.
Also, Amir Molladust, who was sent to furlough on 30th November by the prison authorities, went back to ward 12 of Uremia prison on 4th December and re-joined the strikers.
On the other hand, in the morning of 4th December, Mr. Alavi, internal director of the Uremia prison, has visited the ward and has left there without talking to anyone.
That is to say, 29 political prisoners of ward 12 at Central prison of Uremia has gone on hunger strike since on 20th November to protest against the “dissolution of political prisoners’ ward” and “pressures from the Ministry of Intelligence on prisoners and their families”.
