Breathing in Confinement: At the second anniversary of the November 2019 uprising, Mohsen Qanavati along with two other citizens named Amin Moradi and Payam Jeyhouni were arrested. Mohsen is the brother of Mohammad Hossein Qanavani, one of those killed in November 2019 in Behbahan.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Sunday, November 14, Mohsen Qanavati, Amin Moradi and Payam Jeyhouni, living in Behbahan, were detained by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
On the eve of the anniversary of the November 2019 uprising, security forces have begun a new round of arrests and summonses. Mohsen Qanavati is the brother of Mohammad Hossein Qanavati who was killed in the November 2019 protests in Behbahan.
Payam Jeyhouni, 33, married, working in a fast-food restaurant, had been arrested by security forces in August last year, during the protests in Behbahan. He was later released on a 200 million Toman bail.
