Sepideh Farahan was arrested and transferred to the Women’s Ward of Evin Prison

Breathing in Confinement – Sepideh Farahan, one of the detainees of the December 2017 protests was arrested on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, and was transferred to Evin Prison.

According to the information received by Breathing in Confinement- the news organ of  Prisoners ‘Rights League in Iran,  yesterday January 1, to serve her 2 years sentence, Sepideh Farhan was transferred to the women’s ward of Evin Prison, where the political-prisoners are being kept.

She had previously been sentenced to 6 years in prison as well as 74 lashes at Branch 26 of Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Ahmadzadeh. Her sentence was later reduced to 2 years in prison at Branch 36 of Appeal Court and she was released on bail.

Sepahan Farahan had been arrested in Tehran during December 2017 protests. She was then temporarily released on bail after serving a month and a half of solitary confinement.
