Breathing in Confinement: Payam Shakiba, a former political prisoner who was arrested on June 14, 2021, a few days before the presidential election, has been transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Payam Shakiba, a former political prisoner who had been released less than four months ago, was arrested again on June 14, 2021, and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison.
“Through a short phone call, Mr. Shakiba informed his family that he was being held in the high security ward 209 in Evin Prison,” said an informed source to the reporter of Breathing in Confinement.
Mr. Shakiba who had been released less than four months ago from Evin Prison, was arrested again on June 14, 2021, at the threshold of the presidential election in Iran.
It should be noted that Breathing in Confinement had previously reported the arrest of this political activist.
