2 political prisoners transferred to women’s ward of Evin prison

Breathing in Confinement – Two political prisoners have recently been transferred to the women’s ward of Evin prison.
According to a report obtained by Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran (PRLI), Bayan Ahmadi and Soheila Hejab have recently been transferred to this ward.
Bayan Ahmadi was arrested in May 2019 in his husband’s house and sentenced to 10 years in prison on charge of cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition groups.
She was pardoned and her sentence was reduced to 91 days and she will be released on 3 August 2019.
Soheila Hejab had been sent to the women’s ward once on 14 June 2019 but then taken to an unknown location on June 18th.
She was in an unknown detention facility until July 27th.
