69 Executions in the 2nd Iranian Month Including 3 Public Hangings

Breathing in Confinement – With another executed prisoner in the central prison of Qazvin, the number of death sentences carried out reached 69 in May 2016.
However, 68 death sentences had been announced or reported by the state media or human rights organisations until May 20, and on the last day of Iranian months, May 20, Qazvin prosecutor announced another hanging in the central prison of Qazvin of this city.
The prisoner was accused of murder and his identity has not been disclosed. The second month of Iranian New Year ended by execution of at least 69 death sentences in Iran.
In this month, also 3 prisoners were hanged in public in the cities of Noor, Kermanshah and Mashhad.
Also, a juvenile offender named Mohammad Sanchuli was executed in the central prison of Zahedan on April 26.
