Suicide of a fired worker of Haft Tappeh Factory

Breathing in Confinement, December 14, 2020: Reza Al-Kathir, a fired worker of Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Factory, took his life by suicide.

 

 

According to Haft Tappeh Workers’ Union, the 24-year-old fired worker, Reza Al-Kathir, in protest of his dismissal from the factory as well as his poverty, deprivation and hardship because of unemployment, hanged himself and sadly died in the hospital.

Reza who had recently engaged, had 7 sisters and 3 brothers, of whom two sisters and a brother were disabled and all had serious problems earning a living.

 

Reza Al-Kathir had frequently asked Amily and Asad Beigi to return him back to work. But unfortunately, they rejected his request.
