According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, on February 12, 2021, a 17-year-old teenager named “Ali Durandish” from the village of Gishdan in Jask, hanged himself because of unemployment and poverty.

According to the report, as there was no school in Gishan and as he had to commute a long distance to reach his school, Ali had requested his father for a motorcycle, but his father, being poor, was unable to provide him with it. That is why the child took his life by suicide.

The report adds: because of improper roads in the area, Ali lost his life on the way to the hospital.

It needs to be said that Gishdan village is 80 km away from the nearest school, which has caused many students to abandon school.
